    MATTHEW CURRIE

    REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT — CRESTVIEW & THE LANGFORD

    As Regional Vice President, Matthew oversees the operations of both Crestview and its sister community in College Station, The Langford. He is a native Texan from Franklin, who graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. Matthew served our country faithfully as a field artillery officer in the U.S. Army.

    Matthew found his calling for serving seniors in 2000 as a part-time employee at Crestview Healthy Living Community. Matthew returned in 2001 and, while employed, completed a two-year internship in 2003 to obtain his administrators license. Upon completion, Matthew left to work for a well-respected, family-owned long-term care business in the Bryan community.

    Matthew considers himself very fortunate to have returned to Crestview in 2007 as Executive Director. His passion for the senior living industry is evident in his daily interactions between staff, volunteers, residents and families alike. Matthew believes the key to serving seniors is attracting and retaining faithful, caring and trusted staff who treat the people we serve as if they’re family. Matthew’s motto is: “It’s all about customer service.”

    Matthew’s credentials include Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA), Certified Assisted Living Facility Manager, Home Health Administrator, and Certified Aging Services Professional.

  • MIKE ADAMS

    MIKE ADAMS

    ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & HEALTHCARE ADMINISTRATOR

    Mike joined Crestview in 1994 as the activity director. In 2003, he received his Administrator’s License and was promoted to admissions director. In 2004, he was promoted to administrator. Prior to joining Crestview, Mike worked with cerebral palsy patients providing rehabilitative therapy at the C.P. Rehab Center in Beaumont, Texas. Mr. Adams graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and received his Certified Aging Services Professional certification in 2012 from the University of North Texas.

    ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Eva joined Crestview in 2011 and has served in roles ranging from nursing to Associate Executive Director. Prior to joining Crestview, her career as an LVN spanned 35 years. She initially came on board with Crestview as a home health nurse and has enjoyed working in other roles such as Lifestyle Director, Outreach Coordinator, Marketing Director and recently as the Associate Executive Director for Arbor Oaks. Eva is a Certified Senior Advisor and as the Associate Executive Director, she has the opportunity to combine her Crestview knowledge and experience to showcase what a unique senior living option Crestview is for incoming residents. She and her husband love being parents and grandparents, love horses, and also love their recently “rightsized” lifestyle after selling their farm, and building their dream home in south College Station.

    HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

    Karl is proud to be among the “Fightin’ Aggie” alumni, and in fact holds two degrees from Texas A&M University: one in business management and the other in management information systems. He brings 30 years of experience in human resources to Crestview. In his role, he works to ensure that we hire, retain and engage the best staff possible. Karl is highly committed to training Crestview’s leadership team to be effective in guiding their staffs, so they can provide the best service and hospitality to residents.

    For Karl, Crestview has been part of his family life before he joined our team. His parents were among the first residents of the redeveloped Arbor Oaks at Crestview in 2013.

    Sales Director

    Courtney came to Crestview in June 2019 as the Sales Director. She is seasoned in senior living sales, a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and is a wonderful new addition to our team. Courtney was born and raised in College Station, but left her roots to be a Bearkat at Sam Houston State University, graduating in 2011. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three boys, who are always active in outdoor activities. Her love for seniors has been a passion since childhood, and with a true servants heart now gets to serve them at Crestview.

    NURSE CONSULTANT

    Cheryl has served Crestview seniors since 1991 as a charge nurse, director of staff development, director of nursing, MDS coordinator, director of assisted living and now as a nurse consultant. She is a valued, tenured part of the Crestview family whom most residents and staff know personally.

    Cheryl earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing (B.S.N.) with a minor in psychology and sociology from Texas Women’s University in 1973. Upon graduation, she worked as a nurse in the cancer unit at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. Cheryl moved to Bryan in 1979 and was able to enjoy being a stay-at-home mom until 1991. Cheryl and her husband have three children and four grandchildren. Cheryl she sees her job with Crestview as a way of serving the Lord.

    ASSISTED LIVING MANAGER

    Cassidy is a Baylor grad who loves the Aggies. She joined Crestview in 2013 and currently serves as the Assisted Living Manager. Cassidy considers her opportunity to work at Crestview as a privilege; she is honored to serve residents every day and assist their families.

    Cassidy and her husband have two dogs, RaeRae and Scotty. Meanwhile, they spend their time renovating their house and camping.

    ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR

    Sarah is a Texas A&M University grad with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health. She currently serves as the admissions coordinator, facilitating all admissions in our skilled nursing and rehab areas. Sarah takes pride in working alongside our wonderful staff; bringing compassion, care, and great energy to our team. She enjoys helping others and giving back to the community.

    Sarah adores her four dogs and two cats. Her free time is mostly spent traveling, enjoying the great outdoors, camping, practicing yoga and meditation, and spending time with family and friends.

    LIFESTYLE DIRECTOR

    Nancy brings decades of experience in health and exercise as a fitness class instructor, exercise trainer, and health club owner and manager. Prior to joining the Crestview staff, Nancy owned a private nutrition and wellness practice. She earned her undergraduate degree in business and her master’s degree in clinical nutrition from Colorado State University. At Arbor Oaks, Nancy strives to align the health and wellness program directly with the community’s overall mission of providing excellent lifestyle options and compassionate care.

    She loves showing people how they can discover their strengths and improve their livelihood.

  • ROBERTO MENDEZ

    ROBERTO MENDEZ

    DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES

    Roberto Mendez accepted the position of Director of Dining Services at Crestview Retirement and The Langford effective January 28, 2019. Roberto Mendez assumed responsibility for all aspects of dining services to include Restaurants, Bistro, Catering and any food related needs on both Campuses. He is committed to excellence in product and service delivery. Roberto graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, WI. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality and tourism management. Roberto previously worked for companies such as The American Club a 5 Diamond 5 Star Resort, Felician Village a senior living Property, Sodexo – GE Healthcare, Harley-Davidson Corporate Offices, Canteen – General Motors, and Capitol Senior Living – Waterford at Edison Lakes. As of recent, Roberto held the position as Regional Director of Dining Operations in North Texas overseeing over 50 Dining Locations in senior Living. In his career, Roberto Performed duties as a chef manager, catering director, retail operations manager and general manager of food service operations.

    WELLNESS COORDINATOR

    Francisco’s background working with medical practitioners and his love of physical fitness makes him uniquely suited to the position of Wellness Coordinator. Decades of training in Maui Thai taught him the physiology of nutrition as well as how to achieve strength without injury. As our Wellness Coordinator, his focus on exercise has led to enticing greater numbers of residents to participate in wellness classes. Francisco is dedicated to motivating each resident to reach his or her ultimate potential by personalizing a wellness plan for each one. His attention to each resident’s needs and interests provides the tailored support that allows each one to reach customized goals for improved mobility, balance, and confidence.  A diverse program like this ultimately leads to increased independence, which makes for a fun, energetic neighborhood.

    MIKE RICHARDS

    DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE

    Mike joined Crestview in 1997. His work in facility maintenance spans a total of 25 years. As Director of Maintenance, Mike is responsible for the operation, security and maintenance of all campus buildings, equipment and grounds. He also focuses on preventive maintenance to ensure the integrity of Crestview facilities. He is highly skilled in building maintenance, grounds maintenance, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, machinery and equipment. MRC enjoys being able to draw on Mike’s expertise for new construction and existing community renovations.

  • MELINDA NEWTON

    MELINDA NEWTON

    IT SPECIALIST

    Melinda serves as Crestview’s IT specialist and assists in the general monitoring and management of the community’s network system infrastructure. She also is an expert problem solver related to hardware or software applications.

    She joined Crestview in 2007 and brings experience in both home health and accounting. She is a loving mother of 5 and enjoys helping people.

  • REV. GARY ADAMS

    REV. GARY ADAMS

    CHAPLAIN

    Gary has served as chaplain at Crestview since 2007. He was ordained as a minister with the Assemblies of God in 1979. Gary has pastored several churches in Texas since 1982 and was the founding pastor of Cross Mountain Church in San Antonio, Texas, in 1997. Gary retired from active pastoral ministry and moved to Bryan in 2007. His work experience also includes a 27-year career as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. He obtained his license as a registered nurse in 1964.

    Something special about Gary is that he and his son, Mike Adams, Crestview administrator, have the unique opportunity to serve residents daily, side by side.
